From a very young age I often felt that I did not have the words to communicate how I was feeling, so I would jump up and down, dance, or roll around on the ground to express myself. As an adult, the need to find the words to grapple with my place in Humanity has become immense, but despite my now extensive vocabulary, I cannot find the language. This feeling led me to create THE OTHER VOICE, a Company dedicated to the Indescribable.
We construct original, wordless, performance art that is ignited from the body.
We generate fiercely physical theatrical events that seek to unearth the unspoken.
Our work is initiated with an examination of what we feel to be undeniable about ourselves, our society, and the world. Then we confront our conclusions, pull them apart, and begin creating. From a place of Not Knowing.
We grapple.
We experiment.
We fail.
And there is so much hope....
